Fashion Or Foolishness? Ephemeral Reverie by Sarah Mok!

12 of Australia’s most notable fashion graduates showed their Fall 2011 Collections @ LMFF on March 16, 2011. Sarah Mok (a graduate from the University of Technology-Sydney), presented her structural organza-focused collection in Australia, during a week of fabulous fashion. The designer’s intentions are that her work be viewed as “something conceptual and not as daywear.” What do you think? Has the designer strayed too far down the visual element road and forgotten about the functionality of fashion?

Check out more of Sarah Mok’s 3-dimensional wearable art…

We think the naysayers might have a tough time trying to stop Ms. Mok…her Ephemeral Reverie collection won her the Mild Red third prize ($NZ1000) at the iD International Emerging Designer Awards in Dunedin on Thursday April 7, 2011. Congrats! Keep it up girl…we want to see more!
